1 Michelin star Nakamitsu in Kyoto.

Fantastic intimate experience, only seats like 8 people. The chef and his wife were incredible and so welcoming.

Can you describe the sensation of eating the fish ? I’m way too chicken to try it.

  2. Haha the first thing I thought of was the Simpsons, and I had a nice laugh when I saw you included it in there.

I’ve had fugu and I have to say I was underwhelmed. It’s just not a very tasty fish, and very chewy.

  4. I never liked how chewy it was, sure it’s tasty but there are much other fish I’d rather eat. I’m glad I at-least tried it once.

  5. Hate to ruin it for you, but fugu is farmed raised on controlled diets and its rarely ever venomous anymore. Only wild caught fugu is venomous as they gain their toxins from a wild diet, and under a controlled farm setting they never gain the toxins to become venomous.

You didn’t survive anything you had it prepared by trained experienced chefs and were never in danger

You didn’t “survive” anything unless it was wild fugu. And theres no chance they are serving wild fugu
